Boeing Assembly Line Expansion

Last fall, Boeing announced plans for a major expansion in South Carolina. The company is creating an assembly line for 787 Dreamliners in North Charleston that will be located adjacent to Boeing’s existing facility in North Charleston.

The company is building a 800,000 ft2 final assembly plant that is expected to bring 9,500 new jobs to the area. The value of the project is $800 million and is the 12th joint venture project that partners Turner Construction and BE&K as the project’s general contractor.

CMC Construction Services has rented Meva Lite and Meva Imperial for tunnels. Our Charleston branch has also sold numerous products including Shep 1107 Premium Grout, Stego, PNA Diamond Dowels, PD3 baskets, Shep 309 Rez-All, Shep Farm Fresh and other accessories.

Several CMC affiliates are supplying product and services including CMC Cary Engineering, CMC South Carolina Steel and CMC Rebar. Thanks to the Charleston (82) branch and Chris Cessac for their hard work on this project.
