Envirofocus Technologies

Tampa, Florida

Walbridge and Devon Industrial Group are constructing a lead smelting facility in Tampa, FL for Envirofocus Technologies. This will be the only plant of its kind in the Sunshine State and will create over 120 jobs in the Tampa area.  The entire facility will be built to meet gold standards under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

CMC Construction Services in Tampa is providing Meva Imperial and Symons’ Steel Ply for the structures, which include a storm water tank, heavy foundations, and retaining walls.  In addition to the forming, the Tampa branch is supplying Shepler’s Premium Release, Shep 309 Rez-All, Stego Vapor Barrier, RX101T waterstop and PNA Dowels along with many other items.  Jason Ringdahl and Tom Duhaime are handling the forming with great support on accessories from the crew at the branch in Tampa.

In the end, the 300,000 square ft. building will contain a lead production facility, industrial warehouse, shipping and receiving facility, and water-treatment plant.  Due to the environmental impact of the plant, all water will be retained and treated on-site. The site will also include a utility building, fire pump house and hygiene building, containing showers, locker rooms and offices.
