Hefner WWTP Expansion

Oklahoma City, OK

Crossland Construction has begun construction on expanding the Hefner Wastewater Treatment Plant in Oklahoma City, OK. James Jarvis (Houston) is supplying the MevaLite being used on this project while Dana Todd (26) is selling the CRP package. Jarvis stated “Crossland is easy to work with. The company’s mentality is that it wants everyone on the job to succeed because then Crossland will be successful.”

When complete the facility will contain 22,000 cubic yards of structural concrete which will increase the plant’s processing capacity from 75 million gallons to 100 million gallons daily.

Dallas Branch Tool Show

Dallas, Texas

On Wednesday, July 13th, our branch in Dallas, Texas hosted a Tool Show for area contractors. Vendors including Allen Engineering, Bosch Power Tools and Husqvarna showcased their newest products with hands-on demonstrations.  CMC employees at the branch cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and prizes, including Crescent Tool Sets, were given away throughout the day.

North Texas is planning a second Tool Show in August to that will include product specials and additional product demonstrations.

MAPEI Technical Training

Garland, Texas

MAPEI is a new product line for CMC that is being introduced into the Houston market. MAPEI specializes in the production of adhesives and complimentary products for the installation of all types of floor and wall coverings. MAPEI offers technical training for distributors through its Technical Institute providing information on surface preparation, tile and stone installation, floor-coving installation and concrete restoration.

This week Warren Stapleton (51) and James Beaird (51) attended the concrete restoration classes in Garland, TX. The training provided information on levelers, toppings, moisture mitigation, waterproofing and concrete repair products.

Transit & Transportation Seminar

Houston, Texas

SMPS Houston, held a luncheon today that features presentation on Texas rail and the Grand Parkway construction projects.  The presenters offered information about rail services in Texas and the progress of the Grand Parkway construction. The program featured the Director of the Rail Division of TxDOT and the Director for the Grand Parkway Association.

The Director of the Rail Division of TxDOT discussed the past, present and future of high-speed rail in Texas. The Director of the Grand Parkway Association discussed the different phases of the Grand Parkway that will eventually be a large “C” connecting outer counties around the city of Houston.

G.A. Delfeld (55) and Ron Crowell (51) attended the seminar to learn more about transit and transportation in the state of Texas.

On Thursday, June 2nd, Rollin McCleskey, Equipment Manager (51) demonstrated the new BNCE-20 Cutting Edge

The Cutting Edge Saw is a new and unique tool to the constructiontrade.
