Knights Cross Elementary

San Antonio, Texas

Summit Builders is constructing Knights Cross in San Antonio, Texas.  Texcon is the acting concrete subcontractor on the 125,500-square-foot campus that will feature 55 classrooms and will have the capacity of 1,200 students. This campus will be a LEED certified facility.

This is an elevated deck job with 8 sections (footprints)(A-H). This has been a joint effort with James Beaird (51) and Carlos de la Santos (02) selling a complete package of products including generators, Shep Tube, several performance products, plywood, vapor barrier, rebar etc.

Two Medicine River Bridge

Browning, Montana

The Two Medicine River Bridge is currently under construction in Browning, Montana.   R.L. Wadsworth Construction is replacing the existing bridge that is structurally deficient and functionally obsolete with a new structure. The bridge is located in Montana near the East Glacier National Park. The new bridge will be 761-feet long and cross 150-feet above the Two Medicine River.

Jona Salas (76-Engineering) designed a system using Meva Imperial and Symons Soldier Beam to construct the new bridge and Dennis Lewis (76) sold the forming products. Our Houston Engineering department assisted with stamping the drawings upon completion.

I-244 Double Decker Bridge

Tulsa, Oklahoma

A new double-decker bridge is being constructed over the Arkansas River by Manhattan Road & Bridge. The bridge will incorporate highway lanes on the top with two dedicated future rail lines and an area for bicycle and pedestrian traffic underneath.

Dana Todd (26) has sold pier boots, concrete cage rollers, compaction equipment, bar ties, chain come-a-long and concrete vibrators on this $78 million project. Finally, form lumber, ties and slab bother will be sold to provide a complete package of bridge supplies to Manhattan.

Hefner Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion

Oklahoma City, OKlahoma

Crossland Construction has begun construction on expanding the Hefner Wastewater Treatment Plant in Oklahoma City, OK. James Jarvis (Houston) is supplying the MevaLite being used on this project while Dana Todd (26) is selling the CRP package. Jarvis stated “Crossland is easy to work with.

The company’s mentality is that it wants everyone on the job to succeed because then Crossland will be successful.” When complete the facility will contain 22,000 cubic yards of structural concrete which will increase the plant’s processing capacity from 75 million gallons to 100 million gallons daily.
